When a colleague sees a functionality but YAGNI.
I recently tried to stop some colleagues from adding a feature that the client didn’t request.
This feature was also adding a certain amount of complexity through a number of different classes.
When common sense didn’t work I tried to use YAGNI to get my point across.
I couldn’t convince them but it helped me seem like I knew what I was talking about and I wasn’t just being lazy.
